Guidelines for Links to Members' Pages

Metropolitan Washington Mensa does not dictate the design or the content of members' World Wide Web sites. However, we will consider publishing links to such sites only under the following conditions:

1. You must be a member in good standing of Metropolitan Washington Mensa.
2. The contents of the initial page of your Web site must be free of pornography, lewdness, potentially damaging or hateful material. If you have links on the initial page to other pages containing such material, they must be clearly identified as such, with appropriate cautions to visitors.
3. Mensa does not endorse or support any business. We recognize, however, that many of our members are in business, and we will consider links to commercial sites that are clearly owned by, operated by, or significantly associated with members. However, the contents of the initial page of your Web site must be free of direct advertising; that is, the offering of goods or services for a price or fee.

The MWM Webmaster will publish links to specific Web sites at his/her discretion, subject to the above guidelines. We reserve the right to add cautionary material to links which in our opinion may be inflammatory, in questionable taste, or otherwise distressing to a general audience. These cautions may include notes, warning screens, and links to pages with contrasting opinions or explanatory information.
